Buddhist Chaplaincy updates include monastery visit and name change

Student Buddhist Association changes name

The Student Buddhist Association has changed its name to the Buddhist Meditation Association. The idea behind this change was to offer students an organization that focused on the practice of meditation, without completely breaking away from the history of the organization. It was also an avenue to more clearly identify the Buddhist Chaplaincy as a separate entity from the student organization. The Buddhist Chaplaincy offers programs on practice of Buddhism and learning the Buddha’s teachings. The practice of meditation may very well lead to this interest, but it doesn’t have to.

Buddhist Chaplaincy Meetings

The Buddhist Chaplaincy currently meets on the second and fourth Mondays of the month in the Small Chapel at 6 p.m. for tea and discussion.Check Hendricks Chapel's Chaplaincies webpage for possible changes to these dates and times.
