Holidays at Hendricks
About Holidays at Hendricks
The Hendricks Chapel Choir in collaboration with the Syracuse University Brass Ensemble present Holidays at Hendricks annually in December. An ongoing CNY tradition, Holidays at Hendricks features guest ensembles from the Syracuse University’s Setnor School of Music. Guest ensembles have included the internationally award-winning Syracuse University Singers, under the direction of Dr. John Warren, and Syracuse University’s vocal jazz ensemble Windjammer, directed by Prof. Jeff Welcher, as well as the Syracuse University Women’s Choir and Hendricks Chapel Choir, directed by Dr. Elisa Dekaney and Dr. Peppie Calvar, respectively. We have been pleased to collaborate in the past with artistic entities from the community including the Syracuse Children’s Chorus and the Syracuse Vocal Ensemble. Holidays at Hendricks is broadcast annually on public television stations throughout Western, Central, and Northern New York. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is extremely limited. Our live-audience members are encouraged to arrive early to assure seating.
The concert is free and open to the public.
