Syracuse University Commemorates the 50th Anniversary of Brown v. Board

Brown Through the Ages: A 50-Year Commemoration of Brown v. Board of Education (1954-2004) will include two unique events:


Friday, April 16

A daylong conference in Syracuse University’s Hendricks Chapel featuring a keynote address by Linda Brown Thompson and Cheryl Brown Henderson, the original plaintiffs in Brown v. Board of Education. The conference will also include panels that will explore the historical, legal and social perspectives of Brown; small group discussions on the impact of Brown; and a dramatization of the announcement of the Supreme Court decision. Saturday, April 17

A Community Build Project at the Southwest Community Center in Syracuse. Click here for more information.
