Intentional Living

Dorset House: An Intentional Living Community in the Christian Tradition

Dorset House provides an opportunity for four or five Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF students to live in a faith-based community focused on creation care. Students will engage issues involved with personal lifestyle, environmental sustainability, and social justice. More than just sharing a house to live in, members of Dorset House will develop an agreed upon Rule of Life, commit to regular prayer and worship, involvement in outreach to the greater Syracuse community, retreats, community meals and regular business meetings.

Each Dorset House member will have the option of living in a single room or a super-double room. The cost ranges from $350 to $600-per month for ten months depending on the size of the room. First come, first choice. Moving in prior to August 1 or leaving after May 31 can be discussed.

Dorset House is located adjacent to the Syracuse University campus in the historic Berkeley Park neighborhood. It is a program of Grace Episcopal Church, the Lutheran Campus Ministry at SU/SUNY-ESF and the Episcopal Campus Ministry at SU.
