Additional Information
Hendricks Chapel Choir is one of the great musical traditions on the SU campus with an 80-year history. It is a 35-40 voice mixed choir of students from many different majors and colleges. The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings, sings for a weekly Protestant worship service on Sunday mornings, and sings a major concert at the end of each semester. In December the choir presents Holidays at Hendricks, a festive, holiday concert with brass, handbells, and organ that is seen on public television and heard on public radio throughout Central New York. The choir also tours internationally once every four years with recent trips to China, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. In 2013 the choir will travel to Germany and Poland.
Auditions for the choir will be:
- Sunday August 28 1-5 pm
- Monday August 29 9-5
- Tuesday August 30 9-5
Hendricks Chapel Choir is a one-credit course in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
