Build Your First Year Experience

BUILD YOUR FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE is a pre-orientation program that is sponsored by Hendricks Chapel Dean’s Office through the Office of Engagement Programs. Each year we offer an opportunity for first year and transfer students to come to campus a few days early before the fall semester starts. Students work together on several community service projects around the city of Syracuse before the hectic schedule of orientation and classes begin. The program gives the students the opportunity not only to build friendships and meet other students, but to get to know the Syracuse community and build sustainable relationships with the community partners.

First year and transfer students can register for this program in the summer before the fall semester begins through the Office of First Year and Transfer Programs.
